The City of Kannapolis is hosting a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21 at City Hall, 401 Laureate Way. Kansas City Barbeque judges spent Saturday and Sunday very carefully evaluating over 70 teams from 18 states who competed in the 10th Annual Jiggy with the Piggy Festival in Kannapolis. The Kannapolis Youth Council recently had the opportunity to give back to their community by helping other teens. Youth Council students, ranging from 9th-12th grade, collected toiletries for teens who live in a local orphanage.
