The Kannapolis City Council meets regularly twice a month on the second and fourth Monday of each month. The first meeting is known as a Work Session meeting, beginning at 4:30 p.m. and is a less formal meeting which allows Council to discuss issues in greater detail. No official action is taken in Work Session meetings. On the fourth Monday of each month the City Council meets at 6 p.m. and conducts City business. Here residents have an opportunity to speak on issues. City Council Meetings are held in the City Hall Council Chambers, 401 Laureate Way, 6:00 p.m. The public is welcome at both sessions.
