Kannapolis welcomes Amazon to their second location in the City. Amazon will open the additional site, in the 85 Exchange Industrial Park, at 6255 Shumard Street, near their distribution center, which is located at the intersection of Kannapolis Parkway and N.C. 73. This new center will be a hybrid fulfillment and delivery station that will have the capacity to deliver items to customers within five hours of their order. The new Same-Day Delivery facility has 200,000 square feet and will employ 100 full-time employees. It will operate 24 hours a day – seven days a week.

The Same-Day Delivery site in Kannapolis allows Amazon to fulfill, sort, and deliver orders all from one site—making the entire process of delivering customer package even faster. Same-Day Delivery facilities are finely curated to the areas and customers they serve, so product selection varies by city.
