The City of Kannapolis has released the 2017 Recycling Calendar.
In addition to the schedule for 2017, the calendar includes information on what items may be recycled. The calendar also details the holiday schedule for garbage/recycling collection. There is only two days garbage and recycling will be affected due to a holiday – Thanksgiving and Christmas. Garbage and recycling collection will be delayed one day due to the Thanksgiving Christmas Holidays.
The City of Kannapolis asks that you recycle the following items:
Empty Aerosol Cans (no paint cans)
All Plastics 1-7 (no Styrofoam, grocery bags, or wrap)
Wide-Mouth Plastic Containers & Lids
Rigid Plastic Containers & Small Hard Plastic Toys
Milk & Juice Cartons, & Juice Boxes
Shredded Paper (placed in clear zipper storage bag)
Aluminum Cans
Metal Food Cans & Lids
Glass Bottles & Jars
Cereal & Food Boxes
Cardboard Boxes Flattened
Mixed Paper, Newspapers with Inserts, & Junk Mail
Paperback Books
Magazines & Phonebooks
Spiral Paper Cans (with plastic lids detached)
