The City of Kannapolis’ free West Avenue Express shuttle service will begin running weekends only starting this Friday, April 4. The shuttles are free to the public to help patrons navigate downtown parking during peak busy times.
The shuttles will run from 5:30 – 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and on Thursday evenings (when there are home Cannon Baller games).
There are two shuttles, named Lightning and Thunder, that travel a continuous loop between four designated stops: the NCRC public parking deck, the top of the horseshoe sidewalk, First Baptist Church, and the Swanee Theatre. A shuttle will arrive at each stop approximately every five minutes. The shuttles are ADA accessible.
