Leo Pope has been promoted to Operations Manager of the City of Kannapolis’ Transportation Division. As Operations Manager, Leo is now responsible for fleet maintenance, sign maintenance, asphalt repairs, street resurfacing and preventative maintenance of city streets as well as snow and ice removal during winter weather events.
Leo is a graduate of South Rowan High School and the North Carolina ROADS Scholar Program.
He joined the City in 2012 as a construction maintenance worker. Over the last eight years he has advanced in the department holding the positions of crew chief and crew supervisor. He and his wife, Dallus, live in Enochville, and attend The Well Community Church.
