Over 20 City of Kannapolis employees recently completed an intensive supervisory program called S.E.E.K. (Support Engage and Excel in Kannapolis). This program is coordinated and designed by the Kannapolis Human Resources Department.

The five-week course is designed for city employees with supervisory experience. The program covers topics such as supervisor training, employment liability, benefits, safety in the workplace, internal and external communications, budget and personnel policy education. This interactive program is taught by in-house experts and outside consultants. It also includes tours and hands-on exercises to introduce employees to all departments of the city.

“Investing in our current employees to ensure that they are ready to assume responsibilities and be the future leaders of our organization is a healthy succession planning strategy. We are very fortunate to have so many promising leaders in our City organization,” commented Kannapolis City Manager Mike Legg.

Graduating from the program were:  David Hancock, James Jordan, Megan Keul, Abigail Miller, Raygen Ellis, Ashley Sherwood, Mallory Hodgson, Darrell Helms, Brenda Lee, Kim Caldwell, Mitchell Burris, Natalie Curry, Wesley Wilson, Shari Hoehman, Rebecca Powell, Andrew Kelly, Ed Sowell, William Joyce, Joshua Allman, Jeremy Page, Samantha Monahan, Bradley Jordan, Tyler O’Brien, Brian Smith, Clay Sellers, Bruce Troutman, Timothy Smith, Christopher Morris, Don Gray and Rebekah Smith.
