Kannapolis Transportation Department will be implementing increased traffic safety measures on West Avenue September 12 – 16. Staff will add a safety bollard system which will be used to improve West Avenue’s primary pedestrian intersections.
West Avenue will be closed intermittently the week of September 12-16. West Avenue will close on September 12, from Cannon Baller Way to Laureate Way. Once work is completed on this section of the street, it will reopen, and the next section, West Avenue from Cannon Baller Way to Vance Avenue will close. Please be alert and pay attention to staff working in the area.
