New Police OfficersThree new officers, David Flynn, Michael Armstrong, and Robert Goodell have joined the Kannapolis Police Department. As part of their training each officer is assigned to two experienced Kannapolis Police Officers in the patrol division.

David Flynn is a career police officer with over twenty years of experience and has worked with several law enforcement departments. He is a graduate of Denver Academy (CO). He also studied Criminal Justice at Central Piedmont Community College and Firearms Technology at Sonoran Desert Institute. David is a veteran of the U.S. Army, and he served two tours of duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He and his wife, Joy, have two daughters.

A native of Kannapolis, Michael Armstrong attended basic law enforcement training program at Rowan Cabarrus Community College. He is a graduate of A.L. Brown High School. He and his wife, Brittany, have three children. He is the son of Richard and Gina Armstrong of Kannapolis.

Robert Goodell also graduated from Rowan Cabarrus Community College’s basic law enforcement training program. He graduated from Wake Forest High School. He is the son of Tonya Acree of Wake Forest and the grandson of Bonny and Kenny Beaver of Salisbury.
