On Tuesday, June 18, the movie Onward will be shown and on Thursday, June 20, the movie Tarzan will be shown. Showtimes are 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and tickets are $2 per person.

Juneteenth Celebration | Veterans Park | 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 19
Join us on Wednesday, June 19 for a Juneteenth celebration!
The festivities will kick off at 10 a.m. in Veterans Park, with guest speaker Dr. Carol S. Spalding, President of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Veterans Park is located at 119 N Main St.
Festivities will continue throughout the day with music, vendors, food, and fun. At 6 p.m. head over to cheer on the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers and witness the retirement of Jackie Robinson's iconic jersey number, 42.

Cannon Ballers Baseball | June 18 – 23 | Atrium Health Ballpark
Come out to Atrium Health Ballpark this week and cheer on the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers as they take on the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
Games will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday's game will begin at 1:30 p.m. Fireworks will follow Friday and Saturday games.

Youth Flag Football Registration is Now Open
The City of Kannapolis Parks and Recreation Department has opened registration for Youth Flag Football. Registration will remain open from June 17 through July 29.
Children must be between the ages of 5-15 to participate. The registration fee is $45 for Kannapolis residents and $65 for non-residents. Price includes the cost of uniforms, practices, and games. Scholarships and sponsorship opportunities are available.
Practices will begin August 19, and games will be held between September 7 – October 26.
