On Tuesday, June 11, the movie Coco will be shown and on Thursday, June 13, the movie Monsters, Inc. will be shown. Showtimes are 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and tickets are $2 per person.

6 p.m., Thursday, June 13 | Thursdays on Main: The Embers | Veterans Park

Join us in Veterans Park at 6 p.m., this Thursday, June 13 for Thursdays on Main featuring the Carolina beach music band, The Embers. Veterans Park is located at 119 N. Main Street.

The concert is free to the public. Children 18 & under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. No pets or smoking please.

Food/drinks will be available for purchase, or attendees can bring their own food and nonalcoholic drinks. Vendors will include Screamery Creamery and Chiliman. Coolers are allowed with no outside alcohol. Coolers are subject to search. Lawn chairs are permitted.

6 p.m., Friday, June 14 | Cookie Decorating Class | Kannapolis Train Station

The City of Kannapolis will be hosting a Cookie Decorating Class at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 14. The class will be held at the Kannapolis Train Station (201 S Main St.).

Join us for a cookie decorating class to start the Summer on a sweet note! Each participant will receive three cookies to decorate. We will cover at least three different cookie decorating techniques. After decorating your three cookies, you are welcome to take them home to enjoy.

Concerts in the Park: The Spinners | 7 p.m., Saturday, June 15 | Village Park

Join us at 7 p.m. this Saturday, June 15, for another great Concert in the Park featuring the R&B band, The Spinners. The opener will be Ace Party Band.

The Spinners have a legacy spanning over six decades, with six Grammy nominations, eighteen Platinum and Gold Albums, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Please take time to review the parking map and shuttle stops for the evening. Shuttle service will be for concertgoers only between the hours of 5-11 p.m. (Editor’s Note: Shuttle map is in the dropbox link.)

Food/Drinks are available for purchase or attendees can bring their own food and nonalcoholic beverages. Vendors include: Chick-fil-A, Blasian Asian Wings, and Kona Ice. No outside alcohol is permitted – coolers are subject to inspection.
