The City of Kannapolis is once again planning the annual Jiggy with the Piggy Festival to be held May 6 and May 7. The festival will take place in Downtown Kannapolis and on the NC Research Campus and the City is seeking vendors to participate in the event.
The festival includes 80 barbeque competition teams seeking Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned honors, over a hundred arts & craft vendors, concerts, 5k Walk/Run, Car Display, the 600 Festival Movie on the Campus, an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast at Cannon Memorial YMCA, a People's Choice Wings and Pork Tasting Event.
Registration is currently open for all arts & craft and commercial vendors. Spaces are limited and the number of arts and crafts vendors in various categories will be capped at ten. The arts and craft categories are Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Pottery, Textiles, Woodworking, etc. Only 20 commercial vendors will be accepted.
There is a $50 fee for arts and craft vendors and $150 for commercial vendors. Applications will only be accepted
online and are due March 18.
