On Saturday, May 4, children raced zucchinis in the Kids’ Zone at the Jiggy with the Piggy Festival. Children worked diligently and used their imaginations to create the fastest and most nutritious cars with the supplies of vegetables provided to them. During the Jiggy with the Piggy Festival, May 3-4, the teams participating in the Kansas City Barbeque Society competition also competed in a dessert contest. During the Jiggy with the Piggy Festival, May 3-4, hundreds of people participated in the People’s Choice Wing Contest and the People’s Choice Pork Contest. Kansas City Barbeque judges spent Saturday very carefully judging 60 teams from six states who competed in the categories of chicken, ribs, pork and brisket at the Jiggy with the Piggy Festival in Kannapolis. 100 judges also from six states chose the winners based on taste, appearance and tenderness. With 336 walkers/runners the Jiggy with the Piggy 5K was a huge success Thursday evening. We loved seeing all of the participants in the Jiggiest Costume Contest.
