The City of Kannapolis has adopted the Kannapolis Wastewater Allocation Policy. This policy will manage the limited amount of sewer capacity allocated to the City through the year 2027. The policy states that the City will have a Strategic Reserve of wastewater allocation that the Kannapolis City Council can choose to provide for affordable housing projects and small residential infill projects. The allocation may be granted by the City Council approximately once every six months.   T...

The City of Kannapolis is accepting applications from non-profits with programs that would qualify for its 2022-2023 Community Development Block Grant fund allocation. The Kannapolis Youth Council has opened applications for the 2022-2023 year. High school aged students, who live within the Kannapolis City limits, are eligible to apply to be on the Youth Council.   Applications are due at 5 p.m. on March 31, and students will be notified of their acceptance or denial no later than May 1.
