With the retirement of Kannapolis Interim Fire Chief Rick Barnhardt, Tracy Winecoff has been named Fire Chief. He will assume his new duties on April 1.  Tracy has been a member of the Kannapolis Fire Department since 1999. Cabarrus County is mailing revaluation notices to property owners in Cabarrus County, and residents will have 30 days to file appeals with the Cabarrus County Tax Administration Office. The new property values are effective Jan. 1, 2020.
