The City of Kannapolis offices will be closed Monday, January 17, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Offices will reopen on January 18. There will be no delay in the collection of garbage, recycling, bulky waste, or e-waste.   Yard debris and loose-leaf collection will not be collected on Monday, January 17, but will be collected on your next regularly scheduled day. Tuesday-Friday collection of loose leaves and yard waste will operate on a regular schedule.

One-time assistance paid directly to utility vendors   Cabarrus County’s Department of Human Services is currently taking applications for programs that provide financial support for energy and water bill payments.   The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) and Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) are federally funded and open to all eligible residents. A $5.5 million contract awarded by the N.C. All City of Kannapolis offices will be closed on Friday, December 31, 2021, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Garbage and recycling collection will operate on a regular schedule.
