The Government Finance Officers Association has presented the Distinguished Budget Award to the City of Kannapolis. The City of Kannapolis is accepting applications from non-profits with programs that would qualify for its 2021-2022 Community Development Block Grant fund allocation. City of Kannapolis offices will be closed Friday, April 2, in observance of the Easter Holiday. Offices will reopen on Monday, April 5. Garbage and recycling services will operate on a regular schedule. There will be no yard debris collection on Friday. It will be collected on a regular schedule the following week. As warmer weather approaches, the Village Park Carousel will operate on a limited schedule. The carousel will be open from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., every Saturday, and noon-6 p.m., every Sunday, beginning this Saturday, April 3.
