- Honor Guard - The Kannapolis Fire Department Honor Guard began in 2009. The guard participates in a number of fire service and community events throughout the year. To request the Honor Guard at your community function, contact Capt. Randy Carter.
- Fire Explorers - The purpose of being a Kannapolis Fire Department Explorer member is to gain knowledge about fire suppression activities through the observation of KFD personnel at fire and other emergency scenes and through participation in non-hazardous activities. Participants must be: 14-19 years of age and have completed the 8th grade. For more information, contact Garrett Credle
