Pay My Utility Bill/Start Services

Notice to Utility Bill Customers


The City of Kannapolis is in the process of updating our network and phone systems. As a result, we will not assess late fees or disconnect anyone’s utility service for nonpayment during the month of May.

Presently, we are in the process of uploading payments and any previous amounts you have paid are accounted for and will be credited to your account. Please refer to the lines on the bill that state current dollar/usage amount. This is the amount you will currently owe.

All payments made in March and April will be reflected on the May/June bill.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve our technology.

If you are unable to pay your bill online or by phone you are welcome to mail payment to us at: 401 Laureate Way, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or drop off payment in the City Hall dropbox located at 401 Laureate Way.

    • Cash & Check payments are accepted through the dropbox located in the parking lot of City Hall (401 Laureate Way) 
    • Phone payments through the automated system by calling 704.920.4400.

Need Assistance/Repayment Plan?

If you have accumulated past due balances we would like to help you with those, by working to setup a payment plan. In order to prevent interruption of your service, you must have a signed Payment Plan on file with the City of Kannapolis. Our Customer Service staff will work one-on-one with you to get a payment plan in place.
